About: Above you can see photos of three different girls. Each of these girls have a different story, different life, different likes but what they have in common is they were murdered. They were murdered by Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka the murders could have been very easily prevented.
A little information on the case: Paul Bernardo was the Scarborough Rapist at the time he met Karla Homolka his soon to be wife and partner in crime. They would trick the girls into getting into the car with them and then rape and kill them.
How they died: Suffocation
How the murders could have been prevented:
Police allowed Paul Bernardo to roam free on the streets and re-commit even after friends of Paul told police the sketch of the Scarborough Rapist resembled Bernardo. After receiving Paul’s DNA it sat untouched for two years, where in that time Paul had moved away and committed more murders with his now divorced wife Karla Homolka (Ken and Barbie Killers - Documentary).
Lack of communication between police stations as during the time the DNA was matched to Paul Bernardo Scarborough police did not alert Niagara Falls Regional Police but instead put him on 24 hour watch.
If the police correctly did their job two out of the three girls would have been able to have been saved (Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy).
Below is a documentary about Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka it's an in-depth view at their case and how the murders could have been prevented.
